Nartan Academy of Dance was established in Overland Park ,Kansas in 1998. Ritu Daga is the artistic director of the academy for the past 25 years and has had 92 students graduate under her guidance.
In Nritya Parva the students of the academy celebrate dance in a thematic presentation depicting the concept of Shiva -Shakthi.
Shiva Shakthi refers to the continuous energy in the universe which can never be exhausted .
SHIVA symbolizes consciousness, the masculine principle. SHAKTI symbolizes the feminine principle, the activating power and energy.
Only when Shiva and Shakthi come together can action , movement and creation arise.
