American Natya Festival was previously called as St. Louis Indian Dance Festival. Name changed due to its range of artists who visited annually from different parts of country and from other continents. Since 2008, more than 1,235 artists have performed in this festival. More than 15,000 patrons have enjoyed their performances. These events presented classical dance styles such as Bharathanatyam, Kathak, Kuchipudi, Odissi, Manipuri, Sastriya, Kathakali and MohiniAttam from reputed artists. They also presented collaborations, fusion, Bollywood and folk dances in a limited way to showcase Indian dances in general, keeping our focus on classical dances.
American Natya Festival invited many technically savvy, graceful, authentic performers from every where. We are very happy this tradition is supported by city, government, business and public alike.
